New Generation Learning Space Design 2016

Improving Learning Outcomes and Student Engagement through Innovative Environments and Pedagogy

Innovative, engaging and interactive learning environments have become a key focus for education facilities. The 2016 New Generation Learning Space Design Summit has shifted its focus to not only proven successful design of spaces, but the link between pedagogical practice and new learning environments, better utilising these spaces, improving process and communication in the design and construction phases, and effective leadership and professional development to help academics transition from old to new.  Three key elements will be explored;

  • Improve design of space and use of technology and furniture to maximize impact

  • Improve communication in design and construction phase between teachers, IT, project managers and architects to improve outcome

  • Changing teacher mindset to link space, technology and pedagogy
